New Hungarian Higher Education Act

On 23 December 2011 the Hungarian Parliament passed a new Higher Education Act. On its plenary meeting held on 27 January 2012 the HAC adopted a statement (in Hungarian) on the new Act expressing its strong concern about the lack of quality and QA related sections in the Act and about the loss of independence of the HAC. The new Act is not in harmony with the ESG.
