The CEE Network held an extraordinary general assembly on 28 May, 2011. The subject was the preparation of the network's legal registration in Düsseldorf, Germany. Of the previously 26 members from 19 countries, 18 organizations, among them the HAC, signed the founding Statutes. Other members can join any time to what is now CEENQA. The new president is Iring Wasser, from ASIIN, Germany, and vice-president is Todor Shopov of NEAA Bulgaria. The Secretariat continues to be at HAC, Hungary, and Christina Rozsnyai continues as Secretary General.
The network also held its annual workshop on 27 May, with three renowned speakers: Nick Harris and David Cairns, both formerly QAA UK, and Kaja Braathen from ECA and NVAO, The Netherlands. Two topics were discussed, the external evaluations of agencies in light of the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG), and the agencies' experiences with the evaluation of (international) joint programs.
